Today we celebrate the rights of our furry friends! For thousands of years, man has been killing and mistreating animals for the exploitation of meat and animal fur. In 1948, the UN passed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10. Then the world started demanding that this declaration should be extended to animals. In 1998, Uncaged, an animal protection organization, created International Animal Rights Day on December 10 to shed light on all types of violence against animals.
