Every morning before leaving, Jake would crouch down, pet his cat Luna, and say, “I’ll be back soon.” After the door closed, Luna would sit by the entrance for a while, waiting until the familiar footsteps completely faded away. In the afternoon, Jake opened the Pumplus app during a break at work. On the screen, Luna was lying on the living room carpet, her tail gently swaying, looking a little bored. Jake tapped the “Treat” button, and Pumpkii gently placed a snack in front of Luna, then slowly backed away, watching her eat. Luna froze for a moment, her ears perked up, then she stepped closer to sniff it, her eyes lighting up. As she slowly enjoyed the treat, she would occasionally look up at Pumpkii, as if making sure that the person she cared about was still there.
